With summer fast approaching, I’m still clinging on to Spring and really need some outfit inspiration to transition me into the next season, so what better way to find it than scoping out all the eye candy at the various Anthropologie stores on Instagram. My Anthropologie Instagram Inspiration May 2017 list takes me on an inspirational clothing journey from NYC, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, North Carolina, Newport Beach, Palo Alto, Portland, West Vancouver, and even Anthropologie’s own Personal Stylists feed for a definitive guide to all the latest outfits as seen on the beautiful ladies that either work or shop at Anthropologie. Take for example the featured image at the top of this post (photo from Anthropologie Boston on Instagram), this outfit looks so fresh and is really making me want to go right now and purchase the Color Trimmed Rancher ($68), the Level 99 Military Shirt Jacket ($118), with the now on sale Reverie Sweater Dress (now $99.95). Looks like an easy outfit to transition from spring to summer. A lot of the following outfits are now on sale with an additional extra 30% Off, making it even more enticing to purchase. I just love seeing entire outfits worn on real women to get a better look at how an item is styled and what to pair it with. You’ll find everything from Jumpsuits, dresses, pants, current bags, shorts, tee shirts, shoes, sunglasses, mannequin looks, and even home items that caught my eye. Wow, Let the Anthropologie Instagram Inpiration May 2017 begin . . .
Anthropologie Personal Stylists Instagram Looks
Our second look starts at some exotic vacation local. I love street scenes where you get to take a peek at an outfit in a dream setting. The Veronica V-Neck Bodysuit ($48) looks vacation chic with the Tandy Skirt ($118), the Faryl Robin Red Cork Block Heel Sandals ($128) and the Tonal Suede Crossbody Bag (now $49.95) to complete the look. That skirt especially looks like it would fit in any setting beautifully. Check out my post here to see the skirt styled in another look.
Another fan favorite top that is all over Instagram is the Embroidered Soleil Top ($118), selling out fast and is a favorite of mine that I first mentioned in my Embroidery Trend post. I’d be making a toast too, if I had just purchased this top – get it before it’s gone.
You know that feeling you get when you love what you’re wearing, it must look like the young lady in the pic. Just love the bright pop of the pink Balloon Sleeve Pullover (now $49.95) with the spring summer ready Citizens of Humanity Melanie High-Rise Jeans (now $149.95) and the similar Seychelles Impossible Booties in the cognac colorway.
Anthropologie Portland Instagram Looks
The Yvonne Shift Dress ($188) has such a fantastic print with pops of blue, green and pinks in an easy Throw On and Go Style Dress, wear it with a similar Woven Necklace, similar Booties and you have an exotic eclectic spring ready mix.
Vibrant color is one of the current trends in spring/summer fashion, and the Gardenia Lace Column Dress ($168) has that in spades. Add an unexpected jacket such as the Pilcro Jadira Denim Kimono Jacket ($138), Horizon Earrings (now $69.95) and a vibrant shade of pink of the similar Ankle Wrap sandals – making a current chic outfit.
The Metallic trend is everywhere, from shoes, bags, accessories, and clothing items making an item stand out in an eye-catching way. The Glistened Knit Wide Legs ($118) by Elevenses is one of those items, a great piece in your closet to dress up or down, add a similar Metallic Crossbody Bag and the similar Macarena Mirrored Sunglasses to glam up any look.
Anthropologie Chicago Instagram Looks
I love a great jumpsuit (mentioned this in my Anthropologie Store Visit Post) and the Geoscope Jumpsuit ($128) fits the bill, an easy piece to slip on and go. Pair it with a just as easy pair of similar Slides to complete the look.
Floral Prints are a huge trend for spring/summer and what better way to add them to a look than on a bag such as the Watercolor Rose Clutch ($98). Pair the floral accessory with a minimal chic dress, like the Petite Lace Cutout Dress ($178) and you have a beautiful mix. I’ve been dying to try this dress on and now know which bag would make it stand out.
Anthropologie NYC Instagram Looks
The beautiful girls from the NYC Anthropologie always look put together and ready for anything. Take for example this lovely lady enjoying life in her french striped Mariniere Top ($98) (If you love this top, check out my latest post here), with the Nayela Hooded Trench ($138), Pilcro Hyphen Denim Roll-Up Shorts ($78), Millie Sunglasses ($38), and Delman C’est La Vie Slides ($138). Love this eclectic spring/summer ready look.
Another ready for anything chic look is the Geo Crepe T-Shirt Dress ($158) with its vibrant stripe pattern and bold colors. Since the wedges she’s wearing are sold out, I’d pair this gorgeous easy dress with the Niall Wedge by A.S. 98 from Free People in the papaya colorway.
I love the unexpected bleached pattern at the bottom of the Pilcro High-Rise Bleached Hem Culottes (now $69.95) paired with the Bettye Mueller Calypso Lace-Up Heels ($148), a dreamy beachy combination.
Anthropologie North Carolina Instagram Looks
Spring/Summer is nothing without a great pair of white jeans and pairing them with pink or blush gives an outfit a feminine lady-like vibe. I love how this lovely lady from the Anthropologie in North Carolina is wearing the pink Glistened Cami ($68) with the similar Pilcro Script High-Rise Skinny Jeans ($128) or this similar jean, and the similar dreamy light pink Jeffrey Campbell Lindsay 2 Ankle Strap Sandal.
The dress mannequins in North Carolina inspire various looks, from left to right:
- Pilcro Denim Shirt Jacket ($138), Daphne Pleated Skirt ($118), and similar Tee here
- Washed Linen Shirt ($78), Pilcro High-Rise Bleached Culottes (now $69.95), and Persephone Turquoise Necklace ($54)
- Elia Open-Shoulder Dress (now $79.95) and Londra Crossbody (now $49.95)
- Tie Cuff Tee ($58), Garden Dream Sleep Pants (now $39.95), and Verena Pendant Necklace ($58).
- Abstract Tropics Kimono ($138), Glistened Cami ($68), and AG Jodi High-Rise Flare Jeans ($198).
My current favorite all-around top is the Jane Ribbed V-Neck Tunic ($78), which I mentioned here and here. Love it in this blue color, paired with the Pilcro Script High-Rise Skinny Jeans ($128), the Silky Mixed Print Bandana ($28) and the similar Vicenza Rose Sandals ($118).
Anthropologie New Mexico, Boston, Newport Beach, Palo Alta, and West Vancouver Instagram Looks
In New Mexico, Anthropologie is showing some love for the tee of the moment, the Exploration Tee ($48), I’ll take one in every color and print, please.
The Anthropologie in Boston had a similar idea to the Anthro in Portland with the vibrant Gardenia Lace Column Dress ($168) – pairing the dress with the equally lovely Pilcro Embroidered Denim Jacket ($158) instead.
According to the Anthropologie in Newport Beach, this beautiful lady is a personal stylist and a Pisces, so it made perfect since for her to be drawn to the Pisces Car Coat ($188). Love how she styled it with the 3×1 NYC Higher Ground High-Rise Boyfriend Crop Jeans ($294), a similar Tee here, and a similar Wedge here.
For your viewing pleasure the back view of the Pisces Car Coat, love the fish decal on the back.
Another Newport Beach winner is the comfy looking Geometric Squares Jumpsuit ($198) by Tracy Reese – a great alternative to a sundress. Paired with the Translucent Sunglasses ($38), similar necklace here and here, and similar sandals I’d pair it with.
Anthropologie Home Decor Instagram Inspiration
In my Anthropologie Instagram Inspiration May 2017 list, I wanted to include some Home Decor items, and Anthro in NYC doesn’t disappoint when it comes to home displays. I’m totally enamored with the top rated Edith Wallpaper in the mint color. Items in this pic:
- Edith Wallpaper ($88) comes in 3 color choices.
- Day’s End Wall Art ($228) is inspiring me to paint.
- Ink Flora Wall Art ($998) the Navy colorway is selling out fast.
- Sailor’s Mirror ($58 – $188) wanting one or two badly.
- Similar tray: Liella Tray ($78) love a wood piece in any room.
I just love hearing how other people get creative ideas, so as I was looking over the Anthropologie Walnut Creek Instagram, I came across a picture from Nina @ sandleindesigns talking about inspiration. She mentioned the things that inspire her creative business, and her absolute favorite resource is a wonderful and incredibly heavy book that she picked up at Anthropologie entitled, Cabinet of Natural Curiosities by Albertus Seba. According to her, it contains copies of artworks from the 1700’s, and the botanicals section completely blew her away. I’m gonna have to check this book out on my next visit to Anthro – I see a book in my furture.
The Front of the book in case you’re wondering. What a beautiful book filled with tons of visual inspiration, definitely worth the investment.
And my last stop on the Anthropologie Instagram Inspiration May 2017 trail is at Anthropologie p.s. (personal stylists) instagram for some dreamy bedroom inspiration. Just looking at that room is putting me in a relax state, love all the textures from the quilt, rug, mirror and hanging chair – Anthropologie has a nack for displaying rooms you want to live in – in fact I never want to leave. Items from the room:
- Fortuna Duvet ($178 – $228) luxe feminine medallions on slub cotton
- Fortuna Shams ($88 – $98)
- Aldalora Quilt ($268 – $328) this baby is on my wishlist
- Aldalora Euro Sham ($68) too bad this is on back-order, must have now
- Lattice Flokati Rug ($78 – $1,698) top rated, flat woven and tufted wool
- Knotted Melati Hanging Chair ($598) a fun way to add seating to a room
- Hand-Embossed Four-Drawer Dresser ($598) love the sheen of this dresser
- Driftwood Mirror ($928) handmade, so no two are exactly alike
- Uteki Painted Lamp Ensemble ($148 – $298) comes in a small & large size
- Euclidean Pendant, Faceted Orb ($248 – $698)
- Tanah Nightstand ($298) in the grey colorway
I hope this Anthropologie Instagram Inspiration May 2017 journey has inspired you to create outfits, mix florals, decorate a room, draw inspiration from a book, be exuberant, take an exotic vacation, or travel to the Anthropologies across the United States. Till next time.
